Haircare brand Cantu Beauty partners with Women Empowering Nations (WEN) to host a series of career readiness workshops for minority women

THE WHAT Haircare brand Cantu Beauty has partnered with nonprofit Women Empowering Nations (WEN) to host a series of career readiness workshops for minority women around the world.

THE DETAILS WEN’s mission is to provide exposure, development, and mentorship to girls of color in underserved communities to accelerate their journey to executive leadership.

Under the joint program, WEN and Cantu will select 50 young women between the ages of 17 and 23 from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the United Kingdom, France and the United States to participate in the global cohort Girls Leading Our World (GLOW). .

The immersive leadership coaching experience starts from March to May 2022.

As a virtual program, GLOW will feature female executives from diverse backgrounds, who will teach participants workshops on career development, public speaking, professional branding and executive leadership.

The partnership will continue with the GLOW Virtual Summit, which will feature women and girls of color who represent a range of backgrounds in entrepreneurship and leadership.

THE WHY The partnership continues Cantu’s philanthropic work, with the company also providing scholarships to young women around the world to further their education.
